Miracles Along the Way
There have been so many miracles that have occurred since I decided to open a veterinary hospital. God has truly blessed this adventure and have given guidance and positioned our lives in ways that we could never have imagined. Not many of you may not that while we were starting this business my husband continued to work in Dallas, TX. He commuted home every weekend and got up very early Monday morning to make it back to work by 8am. He did this for many years to help support our family, but the emotional tole was extreme. One day he called me and admitted he was no longer willing or able to be away from his family. Even though the prospect of one income was beyond terrifying we decided to put our lives in God's hands. We had to continue to remind each other that it would be okay and that God would provide - and DID HE EVER!

SallyMeet Sally, a 8 1/2 year old Great Dane who came to Trinity Veterinary Hospital for not eating well and acting very lethargic. On physical exam she look good but you could just tell she didn't feel very well. Many times we have to look farther than what an examination can tell us and evaluate how the internal processes are functioning. Bloodwork provides a window to look at how the organs are functioning, cell processes are working, metabolism levels and much more. Sally's bloodwork showed that she had a significant amount of inflammation in her pancreas that was causing irritation to her stomach and intestines. This in turn caused her to be painful and not want to eat. The pancreas produces many enzymes that helps us break down and digest food and when released acutely can enter not only the GI tract but also the bloodstream causing this same inflammation to distant organs like the heart, kidney, and liver. She was hospitalized and given treatment to combat the pancreatitis. She is doing great not but has to stay on a diet to keep her pancreas calm. Truly a miracle!!
